Search Engines Vary

Do you know that the search engines vary a lot for each search activity?

Lets us assume that you are searching a particular keyword or phrase in different search engines and the search result may vary for each search engine. Here is an salient example, we had performed a search with the phrase software companies in 3 leading search engines Google, Yahoo amd MSN, our obseravation is as follows:

Google shows the result as

google search

The Yahoo shows a result set like

yahoo search

the result again varies a lot in MSN

msn search

Why like this?

The first and foremost reason is that the algorithm of each search engine is different which decides the priorirty of listing. There are certain other parameters like search engine submissions, frequency of changes, site updates as well as featured listing.

So, perhaps searching in any one search engine may not give you the desired result, it is recommended to search in different search engines. Again listing or ranking in search engines hardly gurantee the quality of services/ products!
